When the elevator doors open onto the seventh floor of the Sharecare headquarters, there’s a smiling face that greets everyone with warmth, efficiency, and enthusiasm. This month’s Employee Spotlight, while officially a member of the Accounting team, wears many hats at Sharecare–which includes keeping the Atlanta office running; no easy feat.
Meet Ashley Jones, a senior administrative assistant at Sharecare. Originally joining our company through a temporary 2-week role in 2015, Ashley has grown and built her career over the past nine years into a full-time and essential position within the organization.
As we’ve watched Ashley advance, we’ve also had the privilege to watch her daughters grow too! Ashley and her husband, Andrew, reside in Powder Springs, Georgia, with their three daughters: Mariah (15), Micaela (13), and Mya (11).

Tell us about your role, Ashley.
Officially my title is senior administrative assistant, but I provide a broad range of administrative services throughout the company, which include managing and maintaining the front reception area and office facilities and assisting the Finance/Tax, Marketing, IT, HR, and Sharecare Foundation departments. You could say I am one who wears many hats! I spend the majority of my time working closely with the Finance/Tax department, helping with electronic payments, AP reporting, and expense reports.
Prior to Sharecare, I was the branch manager for a cash advance company in Virginia where I developed my customer service (and patience) skills. When my husband and I decided to move back home to be closer to our family, I knew I wanted to continue in the finance industry, but I wasn’t sure what that would look like. I joined Sharecare with a two-week position at the front desk and within five months, I was a full-time employee. Since then, Sharecare has allowed me to develop my career and work in the financial industry, just in a different way than I had ever imagined was possible. I love what I do and I am encouraged to grow and develop my skills continually.
What career advice do you have for someone just joining Sharecare and wanting to build their career here?
“Go for it.” If an opportunity comes your way–just go for it. The worst thing that can happen is that you fail, but you will learn from the experience and in turn, prove to the company that you are willing to grow. Some of my biggest challenges have been prioritizing and completing my tasks that have competing deadlines, but I consider myself a very determined person and I use that personality trait to ensure I don’t get discouraged, but instead persevere and, often, solve the issue by working together with my co-workers. Working with me, you will know, I like to work together as a team. Sharecare fosters a collaborative environment that allows us to leverage the strengths of co-workers to achieve our goals. Many of my co-workers have worked with me my entire career and we are a “dream team” as we can handle almost anything that is thrown our way together. Sharecare is an organization that is truly like a family. We want to see each other grow and be successful.
How do you keep your RealAge down and keep mentally and/or physically healthy?
Having three daughters keeps me active (and surrounded by teenage drama), but I really value staying positive and surrounding myself with great people who choose to see the glass half-full. Right now, I am spending a lot of time in my backyard, creating my soon-to-be outdoor oasis/ zen zone. My husband is a contractor, so he “oversees” the project, but it is a great reprieve for my mental health and fun to build something from the ground up.
What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?
I would love to swim with the dolphins one day. That has always been my dream.
