Trust Your Gut

By Jeff Arnold, CEO and Chairman

Whether you’re managing a health issue or not, I encourage you to read this article in the most recent issue of The New York Times Magazine. Long story very short, it explores the potential link between the microbes in your gut and the nervous system, meaning your brain activity and state of mind – things like anxiety, depression and stress. Personally, I found it fascinating – and think you will, too. Talk about taking the concept of “you are what you eat” to a whole new level.

For me, this article also is a great reminder that – as much innovation is happening in digital health – there is so much we don’t yet know about our bodies. Thanks to advancements in medical research and science – like those discussed in the article – that gap is closing slowly but surely.
