A thank you to Sharecare’s nurses

As we recognize National Nurses Month, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for every individual who has answered the call to provide exceptional care by taking up this important profession. Nurses form the backbone of healthcare, and your unwavering dedication to patient care is nothing short of remarkable.

To create sustainable, impactful change for our patients, nurses must use both our heads and our hearts. We analyze the important data to guide our decision-making, but it is equally important to practice empathy and consider the emotional and psychological factors that influence our stakeholders.

As Sharecare’s chief nursing officer, I’m particularly proud of all the many nurses who fulfill key roles in several different divisions at our company to support our clients and their members along their health and well-being journeys. Time and time again, you have risen to the occasion, goingbeyond expectations to provide compassionate care to those who need it most.

Thanks to our incredible national network of hundreds of thousands of professional in-home caregivers, Sharecare’s also offers high-touch clinical care from nurses that extend our member support into the home, through CareLinx by Sharecare. In this endeavor, I’m honored to work alongside a dedicated clinical advisory board of national nursing leaders, who ensure the development of our tech-enabled home care plans are informed by the highest-quality evidence and latest best practices.

I’m also grateful for Sharecare’s Disease Management Nurses who act as champions,  motivators, and trusted partners to Sharecare users, helping members achieve health goals to improve their well-being. Taking special care to develop trust, their dedicated support provides critical support as patients navigate conditions like diabetes, coronary artery disease, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and heart failure.

I would also like to recognize our nurses delivering a localized care management program. These nurses help people under their care to find resources, connect with their providers and other care team members, all while educating these individuals on ways to better manage their complex health care issues.

Nurses were also instrumental in the recent implementation of digital-first, precision advocacy into Sharecare’s flagship digital platform at the beginning of 2023. By providing coordination of care, these nurses enable our clients to efficiently scale benefits navigation and integrated clinical care delivery. Working alongside other healthcare professionals as clinical advocates, they guide individuals toward relevant programs and offerings, as well as complete tasks on their behalf, such as appointment scheduling and prescription management. Stated simply, nurses’ efforts help Sharecare’s clients drive improved outcomes and long-term savings in cost of care among their member populations.

To all nurses both inside and outside of Sharecare: As we look to the future, I am confident that you will continue to lead the way in providing high-quality care to the patients under your stewardship. Your hard work and commitment to excellence inspire me. Thank you for your dedication to nursing.
