The 2024 Hawks Fast Break 5k presented by Sharecare
For over five years now, we’ve proudly partnered with the Atlanta Hawks to host the Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare. This year’s race, which continued to celebrate the indomitable spirit of the Atlanta community, was held in early February.
This fun, family-friendly event has become one of our favorite annual traditions, bringing together employees, fans, and fitness enthusiasts alike in a festival-type atmosphere. This year’s Fast Break 5K was a resounding success, with over 1,000 runners taking their mark at State Farm Arena and traversing the downtown Atlanta course in a spirited display of determination and enthusiasm. I can honestly say that the energy among the runners was the best I’ve seen in the history of the event.
Standout moments this year included the emcee, Harry the Hawk, and Pete the Peach hyping up runners before the starting horn and the heartwarming cheers and high-fives exchanged along the route, as spectators encouraged the runners to push through the final stretch. Additionally, the event featured live entertainment, including a soundtrack spun by DJ MoHawk and performances by the ATL Dancers.
At the event, we also joined with our partners at the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research in an activation to raise funds to support their incredible work. Aided in our fundraising efforts by Rally Kid Dre and his family, we hosted a sweepstakes for Hawks game tickets seated in the Sharecare Social section of State Farm Arena, and we’re incredibly grateful to the attendees who entered our raffle by making donations to Rally.
Since 2017, our partnership with the Hawks has always extended beyond the court to focus on making Atlanta and Georgia a healthier place to live, work, and play. This year, we’re grateful the Hawks Fast Break 5K continues to sustain the values of partnership and community improvement that define Sharecare’s mission.
As we reflect on another memorable edition of this awesome event, the support of our partnerships and the inspiring participation of our community continue to remind us of the impact we can have together, to improve the health and well-being of ourselves and those around us.
