Partnership with a purpose

Last August, we embarked on a partnership with the Atlanta Hawks to create the Sharecare Movement, an initiative focused on measurably improving the health of people in the city of Atlanta and across the state of Georgia. Today, less than a year later, the NBA announced that it has selected Sharecare and the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club as the recipients of the NBA Partnership of the Year award. Even more humbling is winning this award in the face of competition from some of the world’s leading brands, including our fellow finalists, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Fitbit, and the LA Clippers and Lexus.
Together, the Hawks and Sharecare have demonstrated that our partnership is significantly more than a patch on a jersey. Ultimately the Sharecare patch has stood for commitment – a commitment to a greater purpose, using the power of sport to rally the people of Atlanta and Georgia around better health. Thanks to the support of incredible partners like Governor Nathan Deal, SHBP and Commissioner Frank W. Berry, and Emory Healthcare, we have made forward progress in a short period of time and created a blueprint for change. And over the next year, we look forward to building on the success of the Sharecare Movement to help everyone – regardless of which team they root for – live their healthiest, happiest lives, no matter where they are in their health journey.
