Arnold To Be Interviewed by U.S. Army Medical Director LTC Daniel T. Johnston, MD
ATLANTA/CHICAGO, September 16, 2014 – Sharecare’s Chairman and CEO Jeff Arnold will participate in the Meet the Innovators Keynote at the 2014 Accountable Care & HIT Strategies Summit at 12:15 pm CT on Thursday, September 18, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Joined by U.S. Army Medical Director LTC Daniel T. Johnston, MD, Arnold will discuss how the Department of Defense is using meaningful engagement to optimize population health management.
In 2012, the Department of Defense charged LTC Johnston with creating an online wellness platform that would enable the agency to assess, manage and improve the health of active duty Soldiers and Army civilians. Johnston partnered with Arnold and the team at Sharecare to build ArmyFit: a platform maximizing digital engagement and fostering behavioral change through tailored content and interactive tools. During this presentation, attendees will learn how the Army is utilizing data-driven applications to monitor and improve population health and program effectiveness at the installation level, as well as optimize development of health policy and resource allocation.
“The Meet the Innovators Keynote is an opportunity to profile exceptional innovation in delivering on the promise of wellness and population health management,” said Rob Waters, VP Development, Healthcare IT Connect. “We selected LTC Johnston and Jeff Arnold to present based on the success of ArmyFit in terms of member engagement and data analytics to inform policy and program development at the U.S. Army in the long term.”
Those unable to attend the Meet the Innovators Keynote in person may register to view a live webcast of LTC Johnston’s and Arnold’s presentation.
The Accountable Care and HIT Strategies Summit will include 50+ presentations from clinical, business and IT leaders from across the country. The 2014 conference includes education sessions plus pre-conference sessions with symposia on HIE, data analytics and population health management, consumer engagement, mHealth and the connected medical home, and healthcare performance and risk management.
