Christopher Gleason, RN, APRN, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner, Veterans Health Administration; First Lieutenant, U.S. Army Reserve

Christopher Gleason is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field. He started out as a Nurses’ Aid transitioning from that role into phlebotomy and then onto nursing. During his time as a Nurses’ Aid he was trained in home health care, this training afforded him the opportunity to witness the desperate need for these services and the amazing impact the home health care team can have on the lives of their patients.   He has more than 10 years of experience, working as a registered nurse in the medical-surgical and psychiatric inpatient units. In 2016, he began his practice as a Nurse Practitioner and since that time he has had diverse experience within this field including Family Practice, Addiction medicine, Chronic Pain management, and Correctional medicine.  In 2018, he embarked on his lifelong dream of serving his country and on April 29th, 2020, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army Reserves. While serving, he noted a lack of equal opportunity officers within his unit. As such, he stepped up to volunteer for this position and is currently serving in this capacity. He has a passion to serve his patient’s and his country and actively seeks out new education opportunities as evidenced by his recent application for his Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
