Introducing solutions to navigate care and evolving medical guidance

Health education should feel less overwhelming and more empowering. That’s why I’m proud to announce two new bold, interactive tools we’re adding to our robust suite of solutions designed to engage, educate, and activate patients and providers: Care Compass and The Shift.

These solutions meet people where they are in their care journey and help life sciences brands create meaningful, measurable impact. Both new interactive health literacy tools provide timely insights through digestible and visual education built for action; helping patients living with a condition and their caregivers to feel informed and ready for what’s next.

Care Compass: a roadmap for what’s next in the patient journey

When someone receives a diagnosis, it often comes with more questions than answers. Care Compass is our answer to that moment.

According to the World Health Organization, education tied to patient needs at specific journey stages improves treatment adherence by 20-30% compared to generic education approaches.[i] Built on the proven concept of patient journey mapping (PJM)—which 60% of patients reported positive behavior changes after engaging in[ii]—Care Compass provides a guided, interactive roadmap through each stage of their condition, starting from symptoms and diagnosis, all the way to receiving treatment and implementing lifestyle changes. With simplified visual navigation, clickable content pins, and the ability to print and save useful resources for doctor’s visits, it’s an intuitive tool that helps people feel less overwhelmed and more prepared to navigate the complex conversations and health actions surrounding their condition care.

The Shift: what’s rising, what’s declining, and why it matters

Patients want to understand what’s changing in healthcare and how that affects them, but the latest medical guidance related to their condition can be hard to keep up with, and regulatory updates from federal agencies are often delayed in reaching consumers. That’s where The Shift comes in.

Using a dynamic infographic-style experience, this solution shows what new developments are on the rise, and which practices and treatments are on the decline for their condition. Featuring interactive content cards highlighting emerging technologies and industry-changing discoveries, and encouraging users to share to their social profiles, the Shift makes understanding and sharing life-saving information conveyed in complex medical advances easier to understand than ever before.

Built for impact, backed by data

With Care Compass and The Shift, we’re helping empower patients with the information and health literacy to confidently manage their care—and helping brands drive better, smarter connections. Both solutions were developed with input from real patients, providers, and feedback from our partners. Here’s why we’re confident they’ll move the needle:

  • 73% of patients are more likely to engage with information when it’s aligned with their care stage[iii]
  • 65% actively seek updates on breakthroughs but don’t know where to look[iv]
  • 36% show improved adherence when educated on new treatments[v]

People who engage with Sharecare’s interactive health content are 63% more likely to talk to their doctor about what they learned, proof that when health education feels personal, it drives real conversations and better decisions. With nearly 200 awards in the past three years recognizing our innovation and expertise, we’re proud to keep pushing what’s possible in digital health.
