HLTH 2023: Starting conversations to spark transformation

HLTH is a memorable experience for our team every year, but the 2023 installment of the healthcare conference was one for the books for Sharecare.

Complete with a panel on the future of home care featuring Dr. Francesca Rinaldo, Sharecare’s SVP of clinical product and innovation; our fifth annual Sharecare Awards, marking our first in-person celebration since 2019; as well as teaming up with our partner Sword Health to co-host a VIP reception – where GRAMMY-Award winning artist Ashanti came to celebrate after receiving her Sharecare Award for Lifetime Achievement – our participation in HLTH 2023 offered unique experiences and forged friendships that we won’t soon forget.

Amidst all the excitement and buzz at HLTH 2023, some of the most noteworthy moments were nestled within the conversations sparked at our booth and beyond – and what they signify for transformation across the healthcare industry. Among the over 10,000 digital health industry professionals gathered in Sin City, Team Sharecare was honored to meet hundreds of change-makers, innovators, and leaders from organizations of all sizes and specialties across the healthcare ecosystem.

Sharecare’s home base on the Las Vegas Convention Center floor was an easy-to-spot, sleek green oasis in a sea of more than 900 sponsors. The commanding view of the show floor from the Sharecare booth’s upstairs balcony – complete with a lounge area, natch – not only served as a hip spot for private meetings but also doubled as a recording studio for interviews with partners and inspiring thought leaders conducted by the Sharecare video team.

After preparing for nearly a year, those of us on the growth marketing team were incredibly grateful to learn that the Sharecare booth not only drew positive feedback and compliments from collaborators and competitors alike – but also generated a steady crowd of visitors. Whether curious about the clever “pieces of flare” mounted on our exhibit’s back wall or seeking out useful and popular swag items like collapsible Tupperware, visitors to Booth #3828 stayed for conversations with members of our sales and account management teams to learn more about our comprehensive care solutions and philosophy of becoming “all together better.”

Speaking of our “pieces of flare,” which was a fan favorite among show-goers, Sharecare’s booth was anchored by a call to action: “Start Conversation, Spark Transformation.” Featuring magnetic buttons donning professional qualifiers like “Doctor” and “Product Person,” personal traits like “Fashionista” or “Foodie,” as well as some irreverent quips like “Freak in the Spreadsheets,” we tried to create something for everyone to self-identify and introduce themselves at the conference. The exercise was even dubbed a “masterclass in branding” by a neighboring exhibitor.

Designed to foster conversations at our booth and beyond, these branded buttons also symbolized Sharecare’s presence at the conference, and more broadly our commitment to better connect the entire healthcare ecosystem on behalf of patients navigating their incredibly unique and layered personal health journeys.

The ability to deliver our proprietary technology and solutions to these members alongside offerings available through our premier partners within Sharecare’s extensive digital therapeutics ecosystem is bolstered by conversations like the many we had at HLTH.

To truly spark the transformation necessary to drive our industry forward, we must start by meaningfully collaborating and communicating. We’re grateful for our time at HLTH – where the challenges of this labor have become equal parts fun and inspiring.
