Challenging Limits

Earlier this week, I attended an annual fundraising event for a very worthy cause supporting one of Sharecare’s partners: Challenge Aspen, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational and educational experiences to anyone with a disability. I met one of the co-founders, Houston Cowan, years ago and was immediately impressed with the organization’s passionate approach to providing unique activities for physically and mentally disabled adults and children. These include sports formerly off-limits to many disabled persons, like downhill and cross-country skiing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking and fishing. This organization, the people that support it by donating time and resources including Vince Gill and Amy Grant, and most of the all the brave individuals willing to push themselves beyond their disability to live their optimal life, inspire us to keep top of mind our mission — sharing care.
