AskMD Wins Appy Award at Internet Week New York

May 23, 2014 — This week, the 2014 Appy Award winners were announced, and I’m proud to share the news that our iOS app AskMD took top honors in the Medical category.

Launching AskMD was a major milestone for Sharecare, and the positive response we’ve recieved since launching it in December has been overwhelming. In fact, the accolades the app garnered just during this year’s Internet Week New York have been incredible – in addition to last night’s Appy Award, AskMD also was named an official Webby Award Honoree.

Beyond the accolades, the successful AskMD use cases that we’ve heard from users and physicians alike have been the most gratifying – from doctors recommending the app as a differential diagnosis tool for their colleagues to giving users the courage to introduce a second opinion, AskMD has proven to be a valuable addition to helping people manage their health and get better care.
