Patricia Geraghty, FNP-BC, WHNP
Patricia Geraghty MSN, FNP-BC, WHNP attended the University of California, Davis for undergraduate studies in biological and behavioral development. She started her career as part of a neuropsychology research team at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland. Ms. Geraghty then did graduate study in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner followed by a post-masters Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of California, San Francisco. Her focus was on exercise and working mothers. She has more than 20 years of experience providing care to women across the lifespan.
In December 2021, Patty opened her own practice – Each Woman’s Health – located in Walnut Creek, California and teaches women’s health content in local San Francisco bay area graduate nursing education programs. Ms. Geraghty was Associate Professor and founding coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Holy Names University in Oakland, California, where she continues as clinical faculty. Ms. Geraghty serves as a volunteer clinician in two bilingual free clinics. She speaks and publishes nationally on topics pertinent to women’s health across the lifespan, serves on the Sharecare, Inc. Medical Advisory Board and is a member in good standing of the North American Menopause Society, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Decades later she remains passionate about women’s health, believing that if you improve the health of women, you improve the health of the community.
