As AVP, Analytic Consulting and Data Science at Blue Health Intelligence, Michele Mercer leads the relationships with key partners to deliver analytic solutions through advanced analytics leveraging data science, AI, and clinical analytics. Michele and her team develop clinical and healthcare utilization models, solutions, and analyses nationally for multiple organizations

Michele previously held the position of Chief Clinical Integration Officer at Millennium Collaborative Care (MCC) where established the clinical integration strategy across the eight Western New York (WNY) county service area for the New York State Department Of Health (NYSDOH) Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Medicaid program. Strategies include, establishing the primary care, hospital, behavioral health, skilled nursing and home health partner network and relationship management, network contract development and management. Implementation of partner clinical transformation efforts based on project priorities. Leads community engagement efforts of Millennium, including collaborating with Community Based Organizations (CBO), Cultural Competency and Health Literacy Program, and selected NYS Prevention Agenda initiatives.

She also previously served as the Executive Director of Upper Allegheny Clinical Integration Organization. In this leadership role, she was a key member of the Upper Allegheny Health System senior management team responsible for the development and implementation of clinical integration for Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY and Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford, PA, as well as their respective medical staff.

Prior to her work at Upper Allegheny, she held various management roles for HealthNow New York, Inc. including Director of Health Care Services Analytics, Employer Reporting and Analytics. Michele also held the position of Senior Account Executive for several key self-insured accounts at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. Prior to joining BlueCross BlueShield in 2003, she was the Executive Director of Product Management for Ingenix, a health information technology subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group Michele also spent several years in utilization and quality management at Independent Health, a leading health insurer based in Buffalo, NY.

Michele is a Registered Nurse and received an associate of applied science degree from Erie Community College; a bachelor of science in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo; and a master of science degree in Health Services Administration from D’Youville College, Buffalo, NY.
