Sharecare Wins Gold Stevie in American Business Awards

ATLANTA, May 31, 2016– Sharecare, a digital health and wellness engagement platform founded by Internet entrepreneur Jeff Arnold and Dr. Mehmet Oz, announced today its Sharecare beta voice app was named the winner of the Gold Stevie® Award in the Experimental & Innovation App category in the 14th Annual American Business Awards. As the nation’s premier business awards program, the American Business Awards received over 3,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry this year.

Sharecare’s proprietary voice analysis technology was built to help people improve self-awareness, personal relationships, well-being and, ultimately, their overall health by analyzing the spectral-data in the tone of their voice during phone calls. The Android-exclusive Sharecare app is available through a crowd-sourced, adaptive trial exploring how providing people with real-time feedback on stress, behaviors and relationships analyzed through the tone of their voices will lead them to make positive changes in their lives, transforming stress into happiness. The Institute for People and Technology at Georgia Tech is managing the trial’s protocol and analysis, with Dr. Sanjay Gupta – a practicing neurosurgeon and CNN’s chief medical correspondent – overseeing the clinical validity of the trial as its chief architect.

Since its launch in February 2015, the Sharecare voice app has garnered critical acclaim, including being named a finalist in the 2015 and 2016 Appy Awards for Best Health & Fitness App, and receiving honors from the TAG Southeastern Software Association, the Digital Health Awards and the International Business Awards.
