College Park Skyhawks Announce Sharecare As Official Jersey Partner
COLLEGE PARK, GA – The College Park Skyhawks, the official G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, announced Sharecare as the official jersey partner for the team’s inaugural 2019-20 season. In addition to the digital health company’s logo being featured on both the home and away uniform sets, Sharecare has been named the official health app of the team.
Created by Jeff Arnold and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Sharecare enables people to go from assessment to action, and connect to personalized information, evidence-based programs, benefits, community resources and services they need to live a healthier life. Also the inaugural jersey patch partner of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, Sharecare and the Hawks have received national acclaim for their partnership, winning NBA Partnership of the Year for the 2017-18 season. With its new partnership with the College Park Skyhawks, Sharecare bolsters the efforts of the Sharecare Movement, the community-driven initiative it launched in 2017 to make Atlanta and Georgia among the healthiest places to live in the nation. The Skyhawks and Sharecare plan to collaborate on community initiatives aimed at bettering the health of all Atlantans, including teaming up with players to showcase the importance of health and well-being.
“At Sharecare, our mission is to help everyone – no matter where they are in their health journey – take better control of their health, and, as an Atlanta-based company, we are equally committed to making Georgia a healthier place to work, live and play,” said Dawn Whaley, president of Sharecare. “We’re excited to partner with the Skyhawks and, together, tap the power and passion of sport to rally the community around their health and bring our collective resources to bear for people across South Atlanta.”
“Extending our partnership with Sharecare to now include our exciting new G League team, the College Park Skyhawks, made all the sense in the world,” said Atlanta Hawks Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Saltzman. “We are thrilled that we will have Sharecare on the jerseys of our players and to use this integrated program to build on our success around improving the health and wellness of this great city.”
The Skyhawks will take the court in the co-branded uniforms for the first time on Nov. 8, as College Park takes on the Erie BayHawks on the road to open the 2019-20 season. The team returns to Georgia for its home opener on Nov. 21, matching up against the Delaware Blue Coats in a 7 p.m. game inside the new Gateway Center Arena @ College Park, where Sharecare will have high-impact branding.
