With nearly 30 years serving the benefits industry and a focus on healthcare delivery systems, Howard Gruverman is executive vice president of enterprise for Sharecare, the digital health company founded to help each person – no matter where they are in their health journey – build a longer, better life by enabling health transformation at the individual, organizational and community level.

Prior to joining Sharecare, Gruverman was senior vice president of national accounts at Wells Fargo, where he led the vision and strategy for national service solutions to enable employers to improve their healthcare status, lower overall costs, increase consumer engagement and improve overall workforce productivity. In that role, Gruverman worked with national employers ranging from 5,000 to over 500,000 employees, including private equity portfolio initiatives, technology, Fortune 100 and several other industry-based programs. He joined Wells Fargo in 2011 when the company acquired EDIFY, which Gruverman started in 1996 and grew into one of the largest privately held healthcare benefits consulting firms in the country.

Prior to EDIFY, Gruverman spent 11 years at CIGNA Corporation in various positions with responsibilities including account strategy and analysis, underwriting, plan design modeling, vendor relations, profitability and national accounts.

As the chairman emeritus of the board for the American Heart Association of South Florida, Gruverman remains committed to the community and the improvement of healthcare across the country. A graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication, he now resides in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters.
