Dermot Waters is executive vice president of marketing at Sharecare, the digital health company founded to help each person – no matter where they are in their health journey – build a longer, better life by enabling health transformation at the individual, organizational and community level. Waters currently oversees the company’s brand strategy, creative direction, and consumer and sports marketing efforts including Sharecare’s partnership with the Atlanta Hawks, which was named the “2017-18 NBA Partnership of the Year.”

One of Sharecare’s first employees, Waters previously served as Sharecare’s first senior vice president of product, responsible for building the company’s early iterations of the Sharecare platform including major products, platforms and strategic roadmap. He also served as general manager of DoctorOz.com.

Prior to joining Sharecare, Waters led product development for CNN Digital. During his nearly 12-year tenure at CNN, Waters led many major initiatives, including several comprehensive redesigns of CNN.com, digital strategies for six U.S. elections and the launch of the first CNN iPhone app. Waters also oversaw strategic partnerships with Facebook, Twitter, Google and other new media partners while at the news network.

Waters earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia, as well as an MBA in e-commerce and computer information systems, and a master’s degree in computer information systems from Georgia State University.
