Dave Springer is president of Ornish Lifestyle Medicine™, which became part of Sharecare through its July 2016 acquisition of Healthways. The first and only scientifically-proven program to reverse the progression of heart disease, and reimbursable by Medicare and other health plans, Ornish Lifestyle Medicine’s content, tools and resources are being integrated into the unified Sharecare platform. Simultaneously, Dave – leveraging his extensive experience in cardiology medical devices including running the United States brand of St. Jude Medical’s comprehensive products – focuses his efforts on enabling leading hospitals and cardiology practices to offer the Ornish program to their patients.

Most recently, Dave was president and CEO of Cayenne Medical, a sports medicine orthopedic company acquired by Zimmer Biomet, where Dave was appointed to oversee the $300 million sports medicine division. Earlier in his career, Dave was part of the management team at Quality Diagnostic Services (QDS), Jeff Arnold’s first company. After selling QDS to Matria Healthcare, Arnold founded WebMD, where he tapped Dave to build and lead the sales organization, which rapidly grew to over $1 billion in revenue in less than two years.
